Hawaii Pacific X-Ray Corporation was established in
1986 as an alternative to the existing diagnostic imaging
sales
and service community. As a partnership, Bill Johnson
(after 30 years of sales with General Electric Medical
Systems in Hawaii) and his son Chris Johnson, founded the
company with one goal in mind to provide an alternative
to the old establishment X-Ray sales and service community
and to do a better job than what was currently being done. We
also intended to be profitable by being a cost effective
alternative, in turn making our customers profitable.
While the market conditions have changed dramatically
since 1986 and Bill Johnson retired from Hawaii Pacific
X-Ray
Corporation in 1991, Hawaii Pacific X-Ray Corporation
has continued to flourish due in large part to our loyal
customers
and employees.
Hawaii Pacific X-Ray Corporation has grown tremendously
from a small start up
x-ray service and sales company. Our sales growth is due
to new digital
imaging technologies such as Digital Radiography, Digital
Mammography, CR and PACS
as well as additional sales of Shimadzu Digital R/F and
Angiography Equipment
in Hawaii. Hawaii Pacific X-Ray Corporation has also maintained
its market
leading position in general radiography and analog processor
sales. In
addition, the growth of equipment sales of Hawaii Pacific
X-Ray Corporation has
successfully enhanced our x-ray and processor service sales.
This progress was
designed to refocus Hawaii Pacific X-Ray Corporation's
assets and efforts on new
technology in radiology along with continuing our customer
focused company
culture.
Hawaii Pacific X-Ray Corporation is positioning for future
growth by making the transition from a predominantly
analog and general x-ray provider to a digital imaging
provider while maintaining the analog nemesis. Hawaii
Pacific X-Ray Corporation will also continue to seek
and pursue new products, business partnerships and uphold
a steady and controlled growth.
