improve the accuracy, speed and convenience of assessing osteoporosis.
Hologic pioneered the integration of BMD measurement with Instant Vertebral
Assessment allowing Point-of-Care assessment of the two most definitive
factors associate with osteoporosis fracture rise: low bone mineral density
and the presence of vertebral fracture. IVA enable physicians to
perform a rapid, low-dose evaluation of the spine in combination with the
routine bone density exam, yielding a more accurate determination of fracture
risk than just BMD alone. |
